How it works

Find the course in sixty seconds.

Every day, one mystery course from the world's top 100 appears on the map β€” no name, no location, just the terrain. Read the clues, drop your pin, and see how close you get.

01

One course, every day

At midnight Central a new puzzle goes live and the clock starts at 60 seconds. Everyone plays the same course that day. You get one guess β€” so make it count.

02

Six hints, one every ten seconds

A fresh clue drops every ten seconds, each more revealing than the last. The first is free; after that, the longer you wait, the more points it costs. The ladder always runs in the same order:

  • πŸ—ΊοΈ
    1. Geographyfree

Where on Earth it sits β€” hemisphere, ocean, broad region.

  • 🌑️
    2. Climate

The weather and conditions, and how they shape play.

  • ⛰️
    3. Terrain

The landforms and routing β€” dunes, cliffs, parkland, mountains.

  • β›³
    4. Design

The architect, the era, and the course's pedigree.

  • πŸ“œ
    5. History

Tournaments hosted, the founding year, ownership lore.

  • 🏴
    6. Name

A near-giveaway that all but names the course.

How scoring works

Every round is scored out of 1,000. Two things decide it:

  • Proximity β€” the closer your pin to the real course, the more points. The falloff is gentle, so landing on the right region still scores well.
  • Time β€” a penalty builds continuously while the clock runs, about 150 points per ten-second hint window (capped once all six are out). Answer earlier in a window and you keep more of its points.

The upshot: a quick, confident guess beats a slow, hint-heavy one. A perfect pin in the first second is near 1,000; the same pin after all six hints is around 250.

score = proximity (max 1000) βˆ’ time penalty (max 750)

Drop your pin & lock in

Tap anywhere on the map to drop your guess, drag it to fine-tune, then lock it in. The moment you do, the map reveals the real course and exactly how far off you were.

05

Streaks & sharing

Play every day to build a streak β€” miss a day and it resets. When you finish, share a spoiler-free scorecard: the emoji grid, not the answer. Compare with friends and keep the run alive.
